Western Harnett Youth Recreation provides the opportunity for boys and girls ages 4 to 17 to participate in a variety of athletic programs. We are dedicated to creating positive experiences by providing quality facilities, services and programs for all of our participants. The goal of our youth athletic program is to offer a rich year-round schedule of athletic activities that encourage children to play a variety of sports, and to provide them with the opportunity to have fun while developing physically, emotionally and socially. The Recreation Department will strive to teach skills and sportsmanship through participation in the development of all youth and to teach the rules of play in each specific sport.

2013 Baseball and Softball Registration Jan 30, 2013
Registration for Recreation Baseball and Softball will take place on Saturday’s, February 16th and 23rd from 9am to 1pm at the Recreation Office located at Barbecue Creek Park between Western Harnett Middle and Western Harnett High School and on weekdays, February 18th - 22nd and February 25th - March 1st from 9am to 12 noon at the Recreation Office. You may also register on Saturday, March 2nd from 9am to 1pm at the Overhills High School Gym. The Registration Forms are located in the “Downloads” Section.

Announcement about Pets May 11, 2011
Pets are not allowed at any of the sporting events sponsored by Western Harnett Youth Recreation. If you do bring pets to the practices or games we will ask you to leave.
